This was a project for an advanced digital sculpting class at SCAD. We were tasked with creating either a complex gun, a piece of furniture, or a set of armor.

This sculpt was definitely a challenge, as this was my first real attempt at hard surface sculpting, but I ended up really enjoying the process.

I envisioned this character/ armor as a mini that you might see in a D&D game, so I posed the armor and sculpted a pedestal for it to give it a small environment to exist in.

The reference

I first started with a base mesh and morphed the body as needed. Then I masked out areas on the body to create the base of the armor.

Then I Zremshed it to a very low poly count so it is easier to manipulate.
